Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Job Description: This role will directly support the Program Operations Manager (POM). Interface with program leadership, customer, and manufacturing will be required. This position will be within the Advanced Programs portfolio, supporting critical Department of Defense needs. The operations manager will be accountable to ensure execution of the daily battle rhythm and completion of deliverables. The Advanced Programs environment is fast-paced and dynamic which requires the continuous cross-functional and program leadership engagement to ensure the operations team is executing to priorities. Ability to communicate, lead, and influence across multiple functions is paramount to be successful in this role. The operations manager will support all operations activities, including quality, cost, and schedule. The operations manager will be responsible for the overall manufacturing performance and field readiness of the program. Expectations also include promotion of continuous improvement by influencing changes in processes within manufacturing and the program. The operations manager will support the overall operational performance for the lifecycle of the program, from proposal through delivery. Responsibilities include: ---Ensure daily and weekly tasks are clear for the operations team ---Establish methodology to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly objectives are achieved ---Drive alignment between integration and test, engineering, technicians, and logistics ---Development of executable schedules ---Track and communicate key metrics ---Participate in proposal efforts ---Partner with supply chain to verify material supports build schedule ---Champion design and process changes that enhance manufacturability and producibility ---Change agent to improve material flow and empowerment within subassembly integration utilizing lean practices and visual management ---Establish and execute all operations plans, including, material, manufacturing, integration of large and complex subassemblies with associated testing ---Develop assembly and manpower forecasts ---Manage cost accounts ---Develop schedules and lead the manufacturing team to meet program objectives ---Lead continuous improvement activities through employee suggestions and lean processes ---Prepare and present information relating to program status for both internal and external review Basic Qualifications: ---Bachelor's degree required, preferably in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM), plus 9 years of related experience in an operations or manufacturing environment ---Experience working with a manufacturing execution system (MES, SAP, PRISM)---Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels in the organization ---Previous experience leading a multi discipline team ---Previous experience implementing lean projects ---Strong verbal and written communication skills ---Very strong MS Project, Excel, Power Point and Word skills ---US citizenship ---Ability to obtain a Secret US security clearance Preferred Qualifications: ---Earned Value Management certified ---Experience managing a production line ---Active Secret US security clearance Salary Range: $123,900 USD - $185,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
