Job Title: Estimator ILocation: Chandler, Az (Chicago Street & 56th Street)Pay: $55,000-$75,000k/SalaryDirect HireAnalyzes specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for sign projects, or services by performing the following duties personally.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists--- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates to be used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work--- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data--- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues--- Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to cost estimates--- Organizes and manages centralized cost data and formal process to support cost estimates--- Analyzes current and completed projects to compare estimated to actual costs to determine reason for discrepancies--- Provides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs--- Identifies cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts--- Maintain working knowledge of all facets of the sign industry and most construction trades to include up and coming trends and technologiesMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: --- Assists Estimating Manager with duties--- Conducts field surveys--- Coordinates permitting--- Represents estimating department in project meetings--- Performs other functions as necessary or as assignedNATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: --- Interacts daily with customers in-person, electronically, and on the telephone working to determine customer needs and expectations for sign project estimates--- Interacts daily with employees in the field and in the office to discuss projects and resolve any customer issues or other business mattersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
