This leadership position is responsible for the development of Account Managers and Account Executives alike to ensure they achieve their goals, which will include retention and new sales growth targets. This is a great opportunity for an energetic leader to effectively coach his/her team in achieving the desired results for the CPA Global business unit.Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 6-10 sales reps located in Chandler, AZ who sell via phone and web
  • Lead and motivate staff to exceed new business sales targets
  • Oversee daily sales operations including lead follow up, sales opportunities identification, sales strategies implementation, and participation in sales calls and presentations with reps.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
  • Establish sales territories, direct sales forecasting activities, and set performance goals
  • Direct staffing, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to develop sales personnel for growth within the business
  • Constantly learning and improving upon your understanding of the relevant set of Clarivate products that are sold to the user base.
  • Set a regular cadence for 1:1 meetings, team meetings & coaching sessions
  • Current and strong understanding of competitor products and services, and how we can successfully position ourselves against them in both the IP & Science space.
  • Work with the Head of Inside Sales and the Sales Director to coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
  • Meet with key clients via phone to assist sales reps with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Monitor, track, and report on sales statistics and performance.Qualifications, Experience, and Ideal Candidate Profile:
    • 4-year undergraduate college degree and a minimum 2+ years sales management experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in business to business sales, either inside or outside sales
    • Experience with prospecting and lead generation processes required
    • Experience selling legal, outsourcing, or professional services preferred
    • Experience in intellectual property industry preferred
    • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sales Enablement technology tools preferred
    • Excellent negotiating, organizational, and communication skills
    • Curious, flexible and competitive
    • Enthusiastic and energetic self-starter
    • Mathematical and analytical aptitude
    • Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment
